Drama Geeks went Better than Expected.

I want to start off by saying yaaaaay for 32 followers!! 😀

Unfortunately, no one in our class took photos from our first dinner show. :/ I expected someone from my class to come, but they had no transportation and Mrs. Wertz forgot her SD card while I forgot to even bring the camera. Dang I’m so upset at myself for that lol.

Besides the fact that we didn’t have any photos, the show was great! We thought we were only going to make about $200 to $300 because of the fact that we had to pay for all the food that we needed to order, but we actually made about $650!!! That’s more than we’ve made from the last two shows we did! We’re definitely going to get Hairspray going 😀

I didn’t expect to be so overwhelmed with dealing with money because it isn’t hard counting money, it’s the fact that when people throw stuff at you all at once, it isn’t easy keeping track. Then I had to stress out with the fact that if the money i counted on the tally sheet didn’t add up with the money in my hands, then I’m screwed.

Luckily, I had two very nice people helping me with tickets so I really appreciate Elliot and Sam for keeping my cool 🙂 I wasn’t expecting any other performances besides the rehearsed skit, but there were actually two performances from Jennie and Tallon 😀 I really wish I got a clip from that. We also held a silent auction and sold three drama t-shirts. We made extra money from selling cans of sodas and the center piece of the table.

The food was DELICIOUS. I ate before the play at Hometown Buffet with my family for lunch, and oh my goodness the spaghetti was not appetizing and the only thing I liked was their cheesecake lol. The dinner serve at the show actually filled me up and it was reaaaally good. I should’ve purchased the $15 plate, but I was going broke too. 😦 The waiters gave excellent service too!

Putting the show up was definitely a lot of work because setting up the items from the theater to the multipurpose room took six hours the day before and we only had about 10 to 15 people staying to help. All the hard work was worth it. This show turned out great and I can’t wait to do it again next year!

Here are some photos of how the show turned out before everyone came 🙂
