I don’t technically have a break since I’m going to be at school from Monday to Thursday. My plans for the break are to attend my delta classes, go to rehearsals, and take my PSATs or volunteer at this coat drive which I’m not sure about doing yet. Monday and Tuesday, I attend Hanna’s English 79 class from 11 AM – 1 PM and on Tuesday and Thursday I have rehearsals from 8 AM – 12 PM. Then on Wednesday, I either take the PSATs at 7:30 AM or volunteer at the coat drive from 8 AM – 2 PM.
Honestly I’d rather go to the coat drive because I enjoy doing community service and on top of that, they said they were going to be giving free lunch and a t-shirt. I heard the PSATs wasn’t really much help and that its not worth taking because it doesn’t help you with the SATs at all, but I want to take it because I have a chance of receiving a scholarship from it. I feel as if I have no luck with scholarships. I’ve applied to plenty of scholarships and the process of it is so tiring especially if you aren’t the lucky person who gets one. Now that I’m thinking about it more, maybe I might as well just go to the coat drive.
Yes I have a busy break and it might not seem so exciting, but the reason why I was looking forward to it is because I don’t have to worry about homework or anything else for short period of time. The only days of resting I have are Friday and the weekend. I have so much time on my hands to do something during the afternoon and it’s why I’m thankful we have a break now. I’ve been able to complete a bunch of things today so I feel pretty accomplished too.
This Saturday, I’m getting a tour of CSUEB with my best friend Amanda thanks to Patrick 😀 ! I can’t wait to see the campus and what they offer because CSUEB is one of my options for college and it’s the first college I’m going to be visiting this year! I can’t wait to write about it for my next blog entry. We plan on visiting San Francisco too since we’re going to be near it anyways.
My first option for college would definitely have to be UCLA, but I tend to doubt myself sometimes too since it’s pretty hard to get in from what I’ve heard. Well college is not headed my way yet until the year 2016 comes along. The thought of growing up and seeing where I head towards to excites me because who knows what I’ll end up turning out to be and where I end up being successful at. I have a lot of hope in myself when it comes to having a successful future. I’m trying to keep that mindset so I do my best to avoid being a failure in high school. Wish me the best of luck!
